Project Overview
Regretly is a digital wellness calculator that turns social media usage into a personal regret score and shows the opportunity cost of screen time through books, skills, income, and life hours.
Problem
Screen time numbers are easy to ignore because they rarely connect to concrete outcomes or personal opportunity cost.
Solution
Regretly converts usage into a score and visual output that makes the tradeoff tangible, personal, and shareable.
Key Features
- Personalized regret score
- Localized currency support
- Shareable result cards
- Viral poster-style output
Technical Decisions
The app uses Next.js, TypeScript, and shadcn/ui to create a polished calculator flow with deterministic outputs and share-friendly result states.
UI/UX Decisions
The flow asks for a small set of inputs, then turns the result into an opinionated visual card designed for quick understanding and sharing.
Challenges
The challenge was making the result feel sharp and memorable while keeping the calculation approachable and not overwhelming.
Result
Users get a concrete view of what their screen time could represent and can share the result as a visual card.
